Beaches – the nearest beach is in Calahonda but it is small. The best and closest beach is called Puerto Cabopino. It is 2.5 miles from the villa and the beach at Don Carlos Hotel, 3.5 miles away. Both on the coastal road to Marbella and are 10 mins drive from the villa. Andy's Bar on the beach is fun.
-
Benalmadena's beaches are lovely and are about 20 minutes away.
-
Nikki Beach Club Marbella: fun, exotic, live DJ sets but expensive although they do offer free prosecco and mojitos for ladies on Tuesdays during the day on the summer. 10-15 mins drive from the villa: https://www.nikkibeach.com/destinations/beach-clubs/marbella/
-
Karma Beach Club, which is close by and a very nice spot for couples, cocktails, jazz and all the family: http://www.karmabeachmarbella.com ... In my opinion Karma Beach Club is a lot cheaper than Nikki Beach and a more chilled vibe. It has a lovely beach.
-
Beach House Marbella https://www.beachhousemarbella.com/ is also lovely and it is about 15 mins from the villa. It has a great kitchen and offers massages on the beach.
-
Chiringuitos by Nikki Beach and Don Carlos Hotel are lovely, especially "Kristina's Restaurant"
-
Marbella Marina is 20 mins drive from the villa and is a great night out with bars and clubs open until 7am.
-
Puerto Banus is 25 - 30 mins from the villa and again has a long strip of bars and clubs open until 7am.
-
Ocean Beach Club is always fun especially for Hen and Stag dos, birthdays, etc but obviously expensive.
Sport:
-
Tennis: There is a great little tennis club with gym, squash and paddle courts called Club del Sol: https://www.tenniscostadelsol.com/en/tennis/
– 12 tennis courts (€10 – €16 per/hour)
– 4 squash courts
– Social mix-in tennis offered daily plus tapas.
– Fully equipped gym.
-
Golf: The Costa del Sol is also aptly called the "Costa del Golf" with over 70 golf courses in the area. Closest to the villa there is a small 9 hole golf course which is more of a pitch & putt but it is fun and has a few par 4s on it, it is the cheapest golf course in the area. http://www.calahondavillas.com/Siesta_Golf.html
Bridge: Club Naranja is 5 minutes away by car. It offers a variety of social events and clubs including entertainment and duplicate bridge nights most days.
Local Attractions:
Mijas Pueblo – a beautiful 16th century "white village" in the hills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains – well worth a visit for the quaint houses, mountain top views and donkey rides for the kids. It is 10-15 mins drive from the villa. Great for families and for all ages.
Marbella Old Town: This is a lovely part of traditional Marbella which shouldn't be missed. It has countless shops, tapas bars, restaurants and white village houses located in the heart of Marbella. During the summer months this area is open until very late. The Plaza los Naranjos (Orange Square) is beautiful and is a square, by virtue of its very name, which is filled with orange trees and restaurants.
Benalmadena's Cable Car:

It is worth a visit especially if you like the nice views.
Cafe at the top. Great for young families.
Fuengirola Castillo de Sohail (Castle)
http://www.andalucia.org/en/cultural-tourism/visits/malaga/monuments/castillo-de-sohail/
Good for families and nice walks (up hill!). Lovely views along the coast with water sports and bars along the beach front. During August there are numerous concerts which happen and beach parties with big name bands. There is also an Octoberfest style beer hall at the top of the hill.
Frigiliana - Traditional White Village
Just 1hrs drive away from the villas but it is less touristy than Mijas Pueblo and has lovely walks. If you wish to stay the night then we recommend staying at Tanya Miller's hotel called "Millers Boutique Hotel" who are also friends of the owners. https://www.millershotels.com/
